ABOUT ME

I am Lorenzo Martínez, a pianist and piano teacher originally from Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. I studied Piano Pedagogy at the Conservatorio Superior de Canarias and am currently pursuing a master's degree in piano performance at the Utrecht Conservatory (HKU). Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of participating in numerous masterclasses and piano festivals, learning from renowned pianists and teachers.

Since 2009, I’ve worked as a piano and music theory teacher, as well as a piano accompanist in various music schools. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience teaching in different high schools and accompanying choirs.

In recent years, I’ve organized and led musical events with my students, collaborating with other departments and involving dozens of students in the interpretation of musical arrangements I’ve created. I’ve also taken part in multidisciplinary events, performed as a pianist in plays, sung with the Choir of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria, and played in popular music bands of various styles.

My lessons are always tailored to the needs and goals of each student. I believe learning the piano should combine effort and enjoyment, but most importantly, I strive to awaken a true passion for music in every student I teach.
